Funcats Online Waiver

By reading and signing the following waiver, you the hirer are declaring:

• You are in good health, with no pre-existing medical conditions that could worsen or become present during the hire of any of Funcats Watersports equipment.

• If you do have any medical conditions the staff should be aware of, you will let them know at the point of hire so that they can effectively monitor you during your hire.

• You have honestly declared your ability at the point of hire, so as to allow staff to determine whether you need a lesson or not. This is at the staffs discretion and could lead to your hire being called in and terminated should you be unable to handle the conditions.

• You are capable of managing the conditions at present at the time of hire and are aware that should the activity become strenuous or difficult you should head for shore as soon as possible whilst your ability and skills allow.

• You will not intentionally damage Funcats Watersports equipment due to negligence (intentionally crashing, ramming into the shoreline etc.)

• Adults accompanying a child (5 years old minimum age for catamarans, no lower age limit for paddle sports equipment) or acting as a companion for another person are responsible for their direct safety on the water as their person in charge of care, and must inform Funcats Watersports staff of any childrens medical conditions so that they can monitor safely and effectively.

• You will follow the instructions of the Funcats Watersports staff at all times during the hire, including returning to shore should you be asked to.

• You will stay within the discussed sailing area shown to you by Funcats Watersports staff.

• You understand that any damage incurred through negligence will be paid for in full by yourself at the end of the hire period.

• You will be watched during safety checks regularly by the Funcats Watersports staff, but you may have to wait for a few minutes for rescue due to checks or rescues being conducted elsewhere in the area of operation.

• You will not exceed the maximum number of passengers per the type of craft hired. This is the staffs decision based on the conditions at present, but shall not exceed 4 per catamaran.

• Payment will be made prior to the commencement of the hire in full, unless the option is given by Funcats Watersports staff otherwise.

• You will try your best to make the staff aware of any defects with the equipment should you notice any so that they can fix it at the earliest possible opportunity.

• You will respect the Funcats Watersports staff at all times and respect their professional decisions that are made in regards to your safety. Rudeness and abuse towards staff will not be tolerated, and will lead to your hire being ended immediately.
